Jack Crutzen
Director PRISMA Facilities Management
Jack has an extensive background in Facility Management (FM), Procurement and Corporate Real Estate in the Netherlands and immigrated to New Zealand with his family more than 10 years ago.
In the last 14 years, Jack has worked for some large property portfolio organisations such as Westfield, Excell Corporation, Westpac New Zealand and KiwiRail.
In 2015, Jack started as director for PRISMA Facilities Management. PRISMA provides facility & asset management and corporate real estate business consultancy.
Since March 2015 he has operated as an acting Associate Director and FM Transformation Project Manager at Auckland University of Technology. He completed a full business review for a cleaning service provider, was involved as consultant to several major cleaning tenders, a full FM and Property Management review for a large Government Department and a Regional Council as well as Tertiary Education Providers as well as corporates such as Fisher & Paykel Health Global. This also included the set-up of an outsourced Helpdesk and a hybrid management model of in-house management and the support of an FM integrator for specific services. Jack currently supports the University of Waikato as acting FM Operations Director.
Jack also advises several other companies on business analysis and improvement strategies and has an extensive background in agile space management concepts.
PRISMA also undertakes condition surveys (structure, building services) and develops Asset Management plans and strategies for a wider range of clients.
Jack has presented at many Summits and Conferences such as Corenet, FMANZ, Clean NZ Summit, organised by BSC as well as several other associations. Jack is a lecturer for the FM & Asset Management papers at AUT School of Engineering, supporting master classes for FMANZ and is a guest lecturer for Bright*Star on “Best Practices in Facilities Management, Asset Management as well as Property Management”.
Jack is a very experienced Facilities Manager, business consultant and professional leadership coach.
Jack is a certified Facility Manager at IFMA, an accredited Professional Facility Manager via FMANZ as well as a Green Star Practitioner at the NZ Green Building Council. Since 2011, he also holds a Master in Corporate Real Estate via Corenet Global and in December 2017 he obtained a Senior Leadership Corporate Real Estate certificate by Corenet Global.
Jack was chair of the FMANZ Auckland Committee from 2010 to 2012 and has been an FMANZ Board member since September 2012 as well as the Chair of the FMANZ Education Committee until September 2016. He was the deputy chair of the Board from September 2014 to October 2018 and received a National Service Award as well as the National Distinguished Service Award for his contribution to the development of Facilities Management in New Zealand.
From 2006 to 2017 he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Genesis Youth Project. Jack is currently board member of the NZ Chapter of the Asset Management Council.
